about dr. kiah

Kiah is a degree-qualified, AHPRA-registered Chinese Medicine practitioner with a clinical focus on women’s health, nervous system regulation, and systemic healing. Their work is grounded in a simple but powerful principle: symptoms are not random or inconvenient,  they are intelligent signals reflecting deeper patterns within the body.

After experiencing firsthand how easily complex health concerns can be reduced to isolated symptoms in conventional settings, Kiah was drawn to a medical system that views the body as interconnected, adaptive, and highly responsive to its environment. They completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Technology Sydney, followed by additional clinical training at Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine and Hospital in China.

In practice, Kiah integrates traditional Chinese diagnostic methods: including pulse and tongue analysis, with modern physiology, functional medicine insight, and nervous system regulation principles. Their approach is pragmatic, educational, and scientifically-informed. Rather than chasing symptoms, they work to find answers, stabilise underlying patterns, restore regulatory capacity, and build sustainable foundations for long-term health.

Patients often describe Kiah's style as warm, clear, and refreshingly direct. Consultations are collaborative and unhurried, with a strong emphasis on education. Kiah believes that understanding your body is the first step toward healing it and that long-term change requires clarity, not rigid protocols.

Now based in Melbourne after five years of clinical practice in Sydney, Kiah works with a broad range of patients, with particular interest in menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, mental health, and natural skin care. Their practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and grounded in care that is respectful, and deeply human.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I practice. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and honour their enduring connection to land, waters, and culture. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
